Twinfants Section

As young parents ourselves, we know that whether you have one infant or several new babies, one of the toughest things to do is to keep track of the feeding and diaper history of your new babies. Mommy and daddy are often sleep-walking through the night as they're feeding and changing diapers so it's pretty simple to quickly lose track of where you are.

Keeping track of the totals will help both the parents and pediatrician know if the baby is getting enough fluids both in and out of the body to continue to grow big and strong. A newborn baby needs to eat 10-12 times every 24 hours (though not necessarily evenly spaced), and the diapers are a good indication that something is going in. Look for 6-8 wet diapers if you're breastfeeding (after your mature milk comes in) and anywhere from 2-5 or more Bowel Movements every day. Wet diapers indicate baby is getting enough fluid, and BMs indicate baby is getting enough calories.
